The Future of Osseo...

What I Believe:

I love this community.

Osseo has something increasingly difficult to find - a genuine small-town identity in the middle of a growing metropolitan area. We know our neighbors. We gather downtown. Our kids grow up in our parks, participate in community programs, and experience traditions that have been passed from one generation to the next.

That’s worth protecting. But protecting what makes Osseo special doesn’t mean resisting change.

I believe we can preserve our identity while continuing to move forward.

I want people to be proud to say they live in Osseo, and I want people from neighboring communities to see our city as a place worth visiting - whether they’re coming downtown for dinner, shopping at a local business, attending a community event, or simply spending an afternoon here.

That requires thoughtful development, strong local businesses, safe neighborhoods, vibrant public spaces, and a long-term vision that looks beyond the next budget cycle toward the Osseo we’re leaving for the next generation.

What I’m Hearing:

I’m hearing a lot of optimism about Osseo’s potential.

Residents want a thriving downtown. They want successful local businesses, safe neighborhoods, well-maintained parks, community events, and thoughtful development that adds something meaningful to our city.

I’m also hearing a desire to make sure growth doesn’t come at the expense of what makes Osseo feel like Osseo.

That’s an important balance.

Development shouldn’t happen simply for the sake of development. New businesses, housing, infrastructure, and other investments should complement our community, strengthen our tax base, and contribute to the long-term health of the city.

At the same time, some of the things residents value most aren’t measured solely in dollars. Our parks, events, traditions, gathering spaces, and relationships with our neighbors are part of what makes this community special.

Our future should make room for both.

What I’ll Work Toward:

I’ll support responsible economic development that strengthens Osseo while respecting the character of our community.

That means encouraging businesses that add energy to our downtown, supporting the local businesses already investing here, thoughtfully considering development opportunities, and looking for ways to make Osseo an attractive destination for residents and visitors alike.

I’ll continue supporting investments in our parks, community programming, and events that bring people together. These aren’t simply amenities—they contribute to the quality of life that makes people want to live, raise families, and stay in Osseo.

I’ll prioritize safe neighborhoods and strong public services while also thinking about the infrastructure, development, and financial decisions that will shape our community years from now.

Most importantly, I want us to think bigger than the next project or the next budget.

Every decision we make today contributes to the Osseo we’ll hand to the next generation.

Let’s preserve what makes Osseo special, thoughtfully pursue what’s possible, and build a community we’re even more proud to call home.
