Meet Aj Mansour…
Osseo isn’t just where my family and I live—it’s the community we’re proud to call home. We moved into what we thought would be our starter home back in 2014 and immediately fell in love with this special small town. Fast forward to today, and my wife and I have been married for 18 years, we’re raising our two boys here, and that “starter home” turned into the place where we’ve built our life.
I’m a husband, dad, small business owner, and longtime Osseo resident who has been fortunate to find a number of ways to get involved in the community over the years.
For the past two years, I’ve served on Osseo’s Parks & Recreation Committee, helping support the events, programs, and spaces that bring our neighbors together. I’ve also spent the past five years coaching with the Osseo Maple Grove Basketball Association. Whether it’s at the park, in the gym, or around town, being involved has given me the opportunity to meet so many of the people and families who make this community special.
Professionally, I have spent the better part of the last 18 years working on air with KFAN Sports Radio and iHeartMedia covering Minnesota sports while also working behind the scenes to build communication platforms that connect directly with our community. Throughout my career, I’ve expanded that experience into digital communications, executive marketing, and transformational leadership. I’ve been responsible for managing significant marketing budgets, developing long-term communication strategies, and making decisions about how to use limited resources effectively. Those experiences have taught me the importance of planning ahead, measuring results, adjusting when something isn’t working, and making sure every investment has a clear purpose. At the heart of all of it has been a simple lesson: good leadership starts with listening, clear communication builds trust, and people should always be at the center of the decisions that affect them.
That same belief is a big part of why I’m running for Osseo City Council. I care deeply about this community and where we’re headed. I want our neighbors to feel heard, informed, and confident that City Hall is working with them and in the best interests of Osseo.
My approach is simple but intentional:
Listen. Communicate. Serve.
I’m looking forward to meeting even more of you, hearing what you love about Osseo, listening to your ideas and concerns, and working together toward a future we can all be proud of.
